IT Technician

Department: 705 - Internal Tech Support
Location: Boston, MA

Medically Home operates a decentralized care model for patients with serious, complex or high-risk illnesses in partnership with health systems to safely care for their patients at home, across the care continuum, including hospital-level care. Medically Home provides health systems with all that is needed to safely care for patients, including the clinical protocols, reimbursement model, platform technology, and fulfillment of all the clinical services required in the home through partners. Clinicians and patients broadly prefer this model over traditional care; both clinical and financial outcomes are improved as compared to traditional care.

Job Summary:

The IT Technician will be a part of Medically Home’s TechOps team. This person must be a quick learner, able to work in a dynamic environment, and be able to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Most worked performed will be assigned via a ticketing system.

Location: MHG Headquarters in Boston, MA

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Install desktop hardware for employees.
  • Provide Level I desktop support to local and remote users.
  • Assist IT or TO engineers as needed.
  • Assist with tracking IT inventory.
  • Ship and receive IT equipment orders.
  • Update and maintain the computer inventory and equipment.
  • Maintain and resolve issues on LAN/WAN, VoIP telephone, biometric, AV systems connections.
  • Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems, keeping in mind for compatibility factors.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
  • Endorse and apply upgrades to systems to ensure durability.
  • Assess functional needs to regulate system purchase specifications.
  • Resolve hardware and network connectivity issues.
  • Assist in technical upgrading and maintenance of Company’s desktop systems.
  • Support in testing and deployment of new applications and systems.
  • Complete Company’s Onboarding and Offboarding process

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in IT field or related experience.
  • Basic computer and networking skills.
  • Understand common technical terminology.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Proven ability to work independently.
